1 large bottle of Heinzes Ketchup
2 teaspoons of golden mustard
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
1 egg
1 tablespoon of hicory flavor ( or to your taste)
1/2 cup of honey (or to your taste)
1/4 teaspoon of melted butter
Mix all ingredients together an you have a great BBQ sauce to put over oven cooked or grilled food and mmmmm! Make you hoot an hollower!


Grandma Jane’s Shortbread:

Scotch Shortcake

Cream thoroughly:

1 lb. butter (the better the butter, the better the shortcake)

2 C. sugar

Blend in: 5 C. flour

Knead the dough with hands until it’s the consistency of putty. Spread in a

shallow cookie sheet about 1/4 inch thick and prick all over with a fork.

Bake in a slow oven – 300 degrees – 25-30 min. or until a very light brown.

Cut into squares while still warm.
